Talk about giving it all that you got. Gerado Para helps to teach three life lessons in this short video.
1) Never give up 2) Your team mates are here to help you, let them 3) Sometimes when you give extra effort it hurts, but it’s worth it. 😉
Christian Lopez is he lucky guy who caught Derek Jeter’s 3000th hit ball, which happened to be a home run. Estimates say that the ball may be worth up to $250,000, but Lopez willingly gave the ball back to Jeter. He was not seeking a reward but the Yankees gave him one anyway. Lopez received four tickets to a suite for every remaining game at Yankee Stadium this season (including any possible playoff games) plus first row Legends Suite tickets to today’s game. That ain’t bad for a guy who originally received the game tickets as a birthday gift from his girlfriend. You can read the full story HERE.
As shocking as this crash looked, Allan McNish was OK after being checked out by the medical staff.
This photo was featured as one of the best sports photos of the day by Sports Illustrated on April 19, 2011. The photo captures LeBron James and Jrue Holiday battling for a loose ball, but if you look carefully, I don’t see the ball, and it appears that they don’t either.

Tim Thomas of the Boston Bruins pulled off what some are calling the hockey save of the year. It is very impressive and he did rob the guy of a sure goal, but I’ll hold off before calling it the save of the year. What do you think?
I’ve looked a this play several times and I still can’t tell if the right call was made, but as for Felix’s reaction, that was way out of order.
Can you tell me if the right call was made?
The Driscoll Middle School team pulled off one of the best trick plays you’ll ever see. Late in the third quarter, with Driscoll down 6-0, the Wynn Seale defense was called for a 5-yard penalty which led to a respotting of the ball. Before the next snap, quarterback Jason Garza loudly told the center that the refs were marking off 5 more yards. That led to the play that you see above.
Give that kid an Oscar for his great acting performance!
